The journey of My Crack the Wellness Code Foundation, a Section 8 Company registered under the Companies Act, began with the transformative health story of our Founder and Chairperson, Mr. Naren Bakshi. By reversing lifestyle diseases like diabetes, sleep apnea, and obesity through evidence-based lifestyle modifications rooted in ancient Vedic wisdom and modern scientific research, he realized these solutions could benefit many others. This vision gained momentum when he connected with like-minded experts, Dr. Pankaj Vij and Mr. Somnath Chatterjee, leading to the formation of CWC Global in Silicon Valley. During the pandemic, Mr. Bakshi’s visit to India highlighted the urgent need for similar lifestyle interventions in his home country, where many face comparable health challenges. Inspired by the success of the Crack the Wellness Code movement in Silicon Valley, he established the India Chapter in June 2020, with Wg. Cdr. V.K. Kala (Retd.) spearheading the initiative. Today, our foundation drives a wellness revolution across India, empowering individuals to embrace holistic health, overcome lifestyle diseases, and thrive.
Watching Crack the Wellness Code (CWC) India grow and create real impact fills me with immense joy and pride.
CWC was founded in Silicon Valley in 2018 by Dr. Pankaj Vij, a Lifestyle Medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente, and myself. We were deeply concerned by the rapid rise of lifestyle diseases; diabetes, hypertension, obesity, heart disease, and chronic stress, especially within the South Asian community. Our belief was simple: many of these conditions can be prevented, delayed, and even reversed through awareness, education, lifestyle changes, and community support. CWC was built not as a medical organization, but as a movement, combining modern science with nutrition, yoga, meditation, physical activity, emotional wellness, and community engagement.
During and after COVID, the need for this movement in India became undeniable. I was fortunate to find Mr. V.K. Kala, who took on the role of Managing Director of CWC India with great passion. Today, the team he leads, including Dr. Gargi Gopesh, Mr. Jitendra Gautam, board members including Mr. Mehra, and advisors like Mr. Runwal, all are doing outstanding work on the ground.
I’m deeply grateful to our philanthropists, especially Mr. Mridu Dalmia, whose significant commitment is helping expand our children’s health education initiatives, and Mr. Kamalji Surada, Mr. S. Agarwal, and many others who believe in prevention and wellness. I also want to acknowledge our wonderful doctor community — Dr. Sunil, Dr. Rashmi Jain, and Dr. Chavi Mehra from Bangalore, along with physicians and wellness experts across India and the U.S. who have generously contributed their expertise.
What excites me most is the meaningful cross-learning between India and the U.S. — Silicon Valley experts sharing knowledge with Indian audiences, and Indian practitioners enriching our U.S. communities in return. Even more heartening is that CWC India isn’t simply replicating U.S. programs. The team is thoughtfully adapting the CWC philosophy to Indian languages, cultures, and communities through webinars, outreach, and awareness programs, while remaining fully connected to CWC Global’s mission, resources, and technology platforms.
To the entire CWC India team — congratulations. Together, we hope to keep inspiring people to take ownership of their health, wellness, purpose, and quality of life.
When we see children struggling with lifestyle-related challenges, women searching for trustworthy health guidance, young people carrying the invisible weight of mental stress, and seniors feeling increasingly isolated, we don’t just see problems. We see possibilities. We see lives that can change, communities that can grow stronger, and futures that can be healthier and more hopeful.
That belief is what led to the birth of My Crack the Wellness Code Foundation.
We believe that wellness should never be complicated, intimidating, or reserved for a privileged few. True well-being is built through small, everyday choices—choices that, over time, create healthier bodies, calmer minds, and more fulfilling lives.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of reaching thousands through online and on-ground wellness initiatives—working closely with seniors, corporates, women, and children. Our year-long Comprehensive School Health Program currently supports over 2,000 middle-school children across Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, helping them build healthy habits early in life. We just got go ahead from Govt. Of Rajasthan to implement this program in 15 schools across Jaipur, Bharatpur and Kota.
Whether you are someone seeking support for yourself or your loved ones, a volunteer eager to create meaningful impact, or simply curious about the work we do—you belong here.
What we are building is not just a set of programs, but a movement shaped by conversations, school visits, community engagements, and shared purpose.
But meaningful change is never a solo effort.
We need people who care. People who believe that good health is not a privilege, but a right every individual deserves. If that belief resonates with you, we would be honored to walk this journey together.
Together, we won’t just talk about wellness. We will live it, share it, and make it real.
