The Community Ambassador Program

The CAPS program recruits and trains volunteers from the senior community to learn about city programs and options that are available to seniors. The volunteers (called ambassadors) then return to their communities and serve as liaisons between residents and those services. Ambassadors hold events in their communities to reach out to seniors and receive ongoing supervision and training based on their interests.

Wellness Resource Centre (WRC)

As the name suggests WRC is a place manned by a Health & Wellness Educator that will offer a variety of services and resources, such as information on health education classes, fitness programs, mental health counselling, nutritional advice, and support groups.
